Aero Precision machines this gas block from 4140 steel with a nitride coating for corrosion resistance and a hard, low-friction surface. Adjustment runs on a spring and detent with a stainless-steel screw that delivers repeatable, audible clicks, so you can count settings without pulling the handguard. Carbon fouling gets channeled into a sacrificial chamber, and the whole assembly is user-serviceable, which means you can clean and reset the detent over the life of the build. Two 10-32 x 3/16 knurled set screws lock it to the barrel. The low-profile body clears slim free-float handguards, including Aero's own R-ONE and S-ONE rails.
