How to Buy Guns Online at Tactical Surplus USA
Purchasing firearms or lower receivers online from Tactical Surplus USA is straightforward, but it involves specific steps to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Follow this guide to understand our process for a smooth and secure transaction.
Step-by-Step Guide to Buying Firearms Online
1. Select Your Firearm: Browse our selection of firearms and lower receivers on our website. Add your desired items to your cart. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that the firearm is legal in their state.
2. Choose an FFL Dealer During Checkout: All firearms and lower receivers must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. At checkout, select your preferred FFL from our provided list. If your desired dealer isn’t listed, you can manually enter their contact information. All items that do not require an FFL can ship seperately to your address of choice. Enter your address for those items after selecting the FFL for your firearm portion of the order.
3. Confirm FFL Acceptance: Contact the selected FFL to verify they accept inbound firearm transfers & have the dealer email us their FFL certificate to admin@tacticalsurplususa.com, with your full name in the subject line. This step ensures there are no delays in processing your order. Any refused shipments by the FFL will result in a 15% restocking fee. It is the customers responsibility to confirm the FFL dealer will accept the transfer.
4. Complete Your Purchase: Finalize your order through our secure checkout process. Once your order is placed, we will ship the firearm directly to the chosen FFL dealer. If we do not have the FFL's certificate on file, you will receive a follow up email requesting it. FFL orders are considered complete and ready to process from the moment all documentation is received. Delays in receiving the required documentation may result in delays in processing your order.
5. Pick Up Your Firearm: Visit the FFL dealer to complete the transfer. The dealer will conduct a background check to assess your eligibility to receive the firearm, in accordance with federal and state laws.
6. Inspect the Firearm: Before the FFL completes the transfer, inspect the firearm for any issues. If there’s a problem, contact us immediately to arrange for the firearm to be shipped back to us before the transfer is initiated.
7. Complete the Transfer: Once the background check is cleared and you’re satisfied with the firearm, the FFL will transfer it to you.
