The American Defense Manufacturing Trijicon MRO Lower 1/3 SOCOM Mount (ADMRO11TACR) is a precision optic mount engineered to position red dot sights at SOCOM height while maintaining lower-third co-witness with standard A2 iron sights or Magpul MBUS generation 2 backup systems. This mount bridges the gap between absolute co-witness and lower-third mounting, delivering the ballistic advantages of both sight planes on a single platform.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in hard-coat MIL-SPEC Type III anodize, the mount stands 1.01 inches above the Picatinny rail and accommodates both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems via the patented QD Auto Lock lever system. This quick-detach mechanism allows tool-free removal and reinstallation without sacrificing return-to-zero accuracy. The lower-third co-witness height eliminates the need for proprietary tools during field adjustments or optic swaps, a critical feature for operators running variable weapon systems or maintaining multiple rifle platforms.
This mount is purpose-built for tactical and patrol environments where backup iron sight alignment must remain accessible without removing the primary optic. Law enforcement, military, and civilian operators benefit from the redundancy of co-witness mounting—if the red dot fails or the battery dies, shooters maintain accuracy through iron sights without remounting or re-zeroing. The SOCOM height specification positions the optic above the bore for improved sight picture during carbine work while keeping iron sight visibility uncompromised.
American Defense Manufacturing is recognized for precision engineering in the AR-15 and modular rifle accessory space. This mount's aluminum construction and hard-coat anodize finish provide corrosion resistance suitable for extended field operations, while the compact footprint (5 x 2.4 x 2.5 inches) minimizes additional weight and sight radius shift.
