Lower Receivers for Sale
Lower receivers are the serialized heart of an AR-15 build — legally classified as the firearm itself, requiring transfer through a licensed FFL dealer. Our lower receiver section carries quality forged and billet aluminum stripped lowers from respected builders, providing the foundation every custom AR build needs.
What You Need to Complete a Stripped Lower
- Lower Parts Kit (LPK) — Trigger, hammer, disconnector, safety selector, magazine release, bolt catch, and all associated pins and springs
- Pistol Grip — Standard A2 or aftermarket options from Magpul, BCM, Strike Industries
- Buffer Assembly — Buffer tube, buffer, and buffer spring sized for your stock or brace
- Stock or Brace — Mil-spec or commercial tube compatible stock, or pistol stabilizing brace for pistol builds
- Complete Upper Assembly — The upper receiver, barrel, handguard, BCG, and charging handle that makes the lower functional
All lower receivers require FFL transfer. Buyers must be 18 or older.
Frequently Asked Questions — Lower Receivers
What is the difference between an AR lower receiver and a stripped lower?
These terms are often used interchangeably. A stripped lower receiver is the bare serialized housing requiring a lower parts kit buffer assembly and stock to complete. Some manufacturers also offer lowers with specific enhancements like enhanced flared magwells ambidextrous controls or improved upper-to-lower fitment already machined in — these are still stripped lowers just with additional features built in.
Do lower receivers require FFL transfer?
Yes — lower receivers are legally classified as firearms regardless of whether they are stripped or complete. They must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer with a background check. Buyers must be 18 or older for rifle-configuration lowers. Some states have additional requirements. Upper receivers handguards barrels and other components are not serialized and can be shipped directly.
