This drum fits AR-15 pattern rifles specifically chambered in 7.62x39mm. It will not function in standard 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington AR-15s—your rifle must be purpose-built or converted to accept the 7.62x39 cartridge with the appropriate bolt carrier group and barrel.
