The ProMag DRM-A111 is a 50-round drum magazine built for AR-15 pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm. ProMag builds the body from a proprietary DuPont Zytel based polymer, the same family of glass-reinforced nylon used across the drum and stick magazine market. The feed lips and magazine catch are over molded stamped steel, which puts metal at the two contact points that see the most wear, while the body stays light. Inside, an injection molded follower rides on a spring formed from heat treated chrome silicon wire to keep pressure consistent through all 50 rounds.
