The Magpul PRS Extended Rubber Buttpad is a direct replacement for the standard rubber buttpad on Magpul PRS stocks, adding approximately 0.50 inches to the original length of pull. This 0.80-inch extension accommodates shooters requiring additional reach or those running heavier clothing and body armor that increases effective depth. Compatible with PRS AR15/M16 and AR10/SR25 models as well as the MOE Rifle Stock and MOE Fixed Carbine Stock, the buttpad installs using existing hardware—no modifications or additional parts required.
Constructed from durable rubber, the extended buttpad maintains positive shoulder contact during recoil impulse while the elastomeric material absorbs impact without shifting. Made in the U.S.A., the buttpad resists degradation from field conditions and delivers consistent performance across extended training sessions and operational use. The quarter-inch extension may seem modest, but for precision rifle applications where consistency of cheek weld and shoulder position directly affects group size and shot-to-shot variance, that additional inch of control is measurable.
This upgrade addresses a specific need: shooters who find themselves rocking back slightly in their stock or struggling to achieve repeatable shoulder geometry on shorter stocks. Law enforcement marksmen, precision competition shooters, and defensive rifle trainers working with trainees of varying anthropometry benefit from the extended reach. The buttpad swap takes minutes and requires no gunsmith or special tools, making it a practical solution for shooters who already have PRS or MOE stocks but need fine-tuning of their ergonomic fit without a complete stock replacement.
