The Whitecap Danforth/Fortress Anchor Roller 19" Long 1-1/2" Line is a heavy-duty stainless steel deck fitting engineered for boats in the 25' to 35' range. This roller mounts at the bow to guide anchor line or chain smoothly over the gunwale while protecting both the deck surface and the anchor system from friction damage. Built from marine-grade 304 stainless steel, it resists corrosion in saltwater and freshwater environments, making it a permanent installation choice for serious cruisers and fishing vessels.
The 19-inch length accommodates 1-1/2" anchor line with a 5-inch overall width and 3-inch inside working width. Three 3/8" fasteners secure the roller to the bow pulpit or stem fitting, distributing load evenly across the mounting points. The roller design reduces wear on line during retrieval and allows anchor deployment from stored position without manual repositioning. The cylindrical barrel rotates freely to track line movement and minimize chafe points where the line makes contact with the boat structure.
This anchor roller is suited for cruising sailboats, center console fishing boats, and displacement vessels where reliable ground tackle management is essential. Whether anchoring overnight in a remote anchorage or holding position in a river during recovery operations, a properly installed bow roller eliminates manual labor and extends the service life of expensive anchor line. The Whitecap unit fits both Danforth and Fortress anchor designs, the two most common lightweight anchor systems on recreational vessels. Weighing 7 pounds, it presents minimal windage and integrates cleanly with standard bow fittings.
