The GROCO 1" NPT Stainless Steel In-Line Ball Valve (Part IBV-1000-S) is a marine-grade shutoff valve engineered for high-pressure fluid and fuel systems where corrosion resistance and reliability are non-negotiable. Built from 316 stainless steel and rated for 1000 WOG (Water Operating Gauge), this valve delivers the durability demanded in saltwater environments, offshore applications, and demanding automotive fluid transfer systems where standard carbon steel would corrode or fail.
The 1" NPT in-line configuration allows integration directly into fuel lines, water systems, or hydraulic circuits without requiring separate manifold blocks. The full-port ball design minimizes flow restriction while maintaining tight shutoff. A thumb-release locking mechanism holds the valve handle in the selected position—critical for safety in high-vibration environments like engine compartments or marine power systems. The ratchet-drive square hole on the handle accepts standard socket tools, enabling access to tight installation spaces and allowing operation without hand strength when the valve is stiff or inaccessible.
This valve is purpose-built for marine propulsion systems, fuel transfer systems, saltwater cooling circuits, and any automotive or marine application where stainless steel in-line ball valve performance is specified. The 1000 WOG rating accommodates high-pressure fuel and hydraulic systems, while 316 stainless steel eliminates corrosion concerns in salt air or water exposure. The grease zerk fitting (on 1.25" sizes and larger in the GROCO line) supports field maintenance, though this 1" model focuses on compact installation where space demands a minimal profile.
