Thordsen engineered this stock from 33% glass-filled nylon, creating a lightweight yet durable platform that weighs just 11.5 ounces. The overall length measures 13 inches with a 14-inch length of pull, positioning it comfortably for most adult shooters. Black oxide coated steel reinforces all hard points where stress concentrates during use. The aggressively checkered grip surface provides positive purchase without gloves, while interchangeable side panels allow customization. A built-in storage compartment in the grip holds small essentials, and the rubber buttpad absorbs recoil effectively. This stock kit is designed for standard carbine-length buffer tubes only. It will not fit A2 rifle-length tubes. If your current build uses a carbine tube, you can install this kit directly without purchasing additional components.
The Enhanced version includes quick detach sling attachment points integrated into the tube cover, which the Standard model does not have. Both versions share the same grip design, storage compartment, and overall dimensions, but the QD mounts provide more versatile sling mounting options.
The FRS-15 was designed primarily for California featureless compliance but is also used in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and other states with similar restrictions. Always verify your state and local laws before building, as regulations change and may have additional requirements.
The base kit does not include an adjustable cheek riser, but Thordsen Customs offers optional adjustable cheek rise accessories that attach to this stock. The standard configuration works well for iron sights and low-mounted optics.
