8mm ropes are lighter, stronger and pack down smaller than the 11mm rope. 8mm ropes work with Kong Duck Ascenders. The worlds first commercially available 8mm rope with a factory spliced eye. Spliced eyes also reduce the weight and bulk of the rope by eliminating big knots and are much stronger than knots by anywhere from 30%-50%.
