The Minn Kota CoPilot System is a wireless remote control accessory built for anglers running a legacy PowerDrive V2 bow-mount trolling motor. It puts left/right steering, speed up and down, and motor on/off into a key-fob style remote you can clip to a belt, wear on your wrist, or keep next to your rod. That hands-off control is the whole point: you stay on the casting deck and keep the boat positioned without reaching for a foot pedal. This kit (MPN 1866150) fits PowerDrive V2 motors manufactured in 2016 or earlier and ships with one receiver and one remote.

Installation is plug-n-play. The receiver mounts to the right side plate of the motor with two screws, and the corded foot pedal connects through an included plug, so you keep the option of pedal control alongside the wireless remote. The system is programmable for up to ten total remotes and wireless foot pedals, which sold separately, letting multiple anglers run the same motor or letting one operator station controls in more than one spot on the boat. The key fob handles every core function, steering both directions, adjusting speed in steps, and cutting the motor, so you manage the bow mount entirely from the deck. This setup makes the most sense for someone already running an older PowerDrive V2 who wants remote control without swapping the whole motor.
