The Blue Sea 5299 easyID ATC Fuse – 40 Amp is an LED-illuminated automotive and marine electrical protection component that replaces standard non-illuminating ATC blade fuses. Using Light Emitting Diode technology, the easyID fuse provides instant visual confirmation when a circuit has blown—a critical advantage when troubleshooting electrical systems in vehicles, boats, RVs, or off-grid power installations where fuse panels are often recessed or difficult to access in low-light conditions.
This 40-amp fast-acting fuse meets ATC (Automotive Thermal Circuit) standards and delivers an interrupt capacity of 1000A at 32V DC, making it suitable for moderate-load circuits in 12V and 24V DC electrical systems. The tin-plated blade construction ensures reliable contact and corrosion resistance in demanding environments. Because the LED illuminates only when the fuse has failed, users can quickly identify a blown fuse without removing it from the panel—eliminating the guesswork inherent to standard fuses and reducing troubleshooting time during critical operations or when working in darkness.
Operators, mechanics, and marine electricians rely on easyID fuses for applications where rapid fault detection matters: emergency vehicles, tactical support platforms, offshore and saltwater vessels, expedition vehicles, and portable power systems. The 40-amp rating covers mid-range circuits such as backup lighting, auxiliary pumps, winches, and sensor arrays. Two fuses ship per retail package, providing immediate backup protection. easyID fuses are a direct replacement for existing ATO and ATC fuse slots, requiring no panel modifications or wiring changes.
