The Marinco 24V Trolling Motor Wiring Kit (24VWKS3) is a complete harness for anglers running a 24-volt bow-mount trolling motor off a two-battery bank. It bundles the cable, circuit protection, connector, and series jumper into one package, so there's no piecing together components from a parts bin. Built around marine-grade copper and corrosion-resistant hardware, this kit is aimed at boaters who want a wiring trolling motor 24 volt setup that holds up to a wet, vibration-heavy environment. Whether you're rigging a new bass boat or replacing a corroded factory harness, it covers the run from the batteries to the motor plug.
The kit includes 44 feet of 6/2AWG bonded cable, which gives plenty of length to route from a stern or center battery bank up to the bow without splicing. Circuit protection comes from a 50A Blue Sea Systems 285 Series circuit breaker, the same line carried in our circuit breakers selection, while the 70A Marinco trolling motor plug and glass-reinforced nylon receptacle handle the connect-disconnect cycles at the mount. Battery connections are pre-terminated with 5/16-inch lugs, and a series jumper ties the two 12-volt batteries into a 24-volt bank. Positive and negative leads are color-coded, and Ancor lugs with heat shrink tubing seal the terminations against moisture and salt intrusion.
Reach for this kit when you're wiring a 24V trolling motor for the first time or pulling out a harness that's gone green with corrosion. The pre-terminated lugs and color-coded leads cut installation time and remove the guesswork on a 24v wiring job, which matters when you're working in a cramped battery compartment. Pair it with a matched pair of deep-cycle batteries from our marine batteries and the right post connections from our terminals section. For mount hardware and plug spares, check our trolling motor accessories.
The kit contains 44 feet of 6/2AWG bonded cable, a 50A Blue Sea Systems 285 Series circuit breaker, a 70A Marinco trolling motor plug and receptacle, pre-terminated 5/16-inch battery lugs, a series jumper, and Ancor lugs with heat shrink tubing. It covers the full run from your battery bank to the motor plug.
The included series jumper ties two 12-volt batteries together in series to produce 24 volts. The color-coded positive and negative leads connect to the open battery terminals, and the 6/2AWG cable carries that 24V output up to the trolling motor plug at the bow.
The 50A Blue Sea Systems 285 Series breaker is sized for common 24V bow-mount trolling motors. Confirm the breaker rating against your motor's maximum amp draw listed in its documentation, since higher-thrust motors may specify a different value.
The kit provides 44 feet of 6/2AWG bonded cable, which is enough to route from a stern or center-console battery bank to a bow-mounted trolling motor on most boats without splicing or adding extension wire.
Yes. It uses marine-grade components including tinned copper wire, brass terminals, a corrosion-resistant glass-reinforced nylon receptacle, and Ancor lugs sealed with heat shrink tubing to resist moisture and salt intrusion.
