The JESEL Camshaft Seal (SEL-38000) is a PTFE timing cover seal that fits most Jesel belt drive setups, keeping oil contained at the cam where it belongs. It's built for racers and engine builders running a Jesel front drive who need a clean replacement seal during a rebuild or routine maintenance. This seal covers the broad range of Jesel belt drive applications, with the exception of GM RO7, Ford 2009 Pro Stock, Chrysler Hemi Pro Stock, and Dodge R5C combinations. Sold individually, it's a direct fit component for anyone refreshing a worn or leaking cam seal on a high-output build.
The seal is made from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), a material chosen for its low friction and strong sealing properties against oil under pressure and heat. It measures 2.625 in. by 2.150 in. by 0.245 in., dimensions sized to seat into Jesel timing cover bores without modification. PTFE handles the temperature swings and oil exposure common to race engines better than standard rubber lip seals, which is why it shows up on belt drive systems run hard. Note that O-rings are not included with this seal, so plan to source any additional o-rings separately if your install calls for them.
