ZMAX Break-In Oil 15W50 in a 32oz bottle is a high-zinc synthetic motor oil designed for engine break-in periods and flat-tappet cam applications. This oil is ideal for freshly rebuilt engines, performance cam installations, and classic vehicle restorations, providing essential anti-wear protection during the critical initial miles.
The 15W50 viscosity grade ensures reliable flow during cold starts while maintaining strong film strength under load. The formulation includes a zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) additive package that creates a protective boundary layer on metal surfaces, preventing scuffing between cam and lifter faces, which is crucial during the break-in phase.
