Description

This EGW mount lets shooters run a red dot on the EAA Tanfoglio Witness without sending the slide out for machining. It replaces the adjustable rear sight assembly and gives the pistol a Trijicon-pattern optic footprint, so it accepts the Trijicon RMR and SRO along with the Holosun 407C and 507C families, the Swampfox Kingslayer, Liberty, and Justice, plus the Baby Desert Eagle made after 2006 and the Witness Elite Match. It is built for competition and carry shooters who want a slide-mounted dot on a Witness frame with minimal fuss. If you shop our optic mounts, this is the dedicated Witness answer.

EGW machines this mount from 7075 T6 billet aluminum and finishes it in a Type III matte black hardcoat, the same anodizing class used on hard-use rail hardware. Overall dimensions run 1.780 inches long by 1.1 inches wide, and the part weighs 0.08 lbs, so it adds almost nothing to slide mass. It ships with two 6-32 flat head screws and one 6-32 by 3/16 set screw, and EGW lists a 15 in/lbs torque spec with blue Loctite on the mounting screws. The set screw indexes against the dovetail to lock the mount and hold zero under recoil. A 5/64 inch Allen wrench handles installation. Note that it requires the Witness with an adjustable rear sight and does not fit fixed-sight Witness models or Rock Island 1911s.

A Witness shooter moving from irons to a red dot for USPSA, IDPA, or steel matches gets a direct path with this part. Pull the adjustable rear sight, seat the mount, torque the screws with blue Loctite, and bolt down a Trijicon-footprint optic. The mount is made in the USA and carries a lifetime warranty per EGW. Pair it with a compatible red dot and a set of suppressor-height or co-witness backup sights, then confirm everything mechanically before live fire. Browse our handgun sights and other red dot mounts to round out the build.

What red dot optics work with this mount?
