The Davis Leaf Wetness Sensor (Model 6420) is a specialized environmental monitoring instrument designed to measure the moisture level present on plant foliage surfaces. This sensor provides quantified wetness readings on a scale from 0 (completely dry) to 15 (saturated), enabling precise detection of leaf surface moisture conditions. Compatible with both the original Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 weather stations, this sensor connects via a Wireless Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station (model 6345) and includes a 40-foot cable for optimal placement on vegetation or in microclimate zones.

Accurate leaf wetness measurement is critical in agricultural and horticultural applications because surface moisture directly correlates with fungal disease development and optimal spray timing for pest management. The sensor's 0–15 scale provides actionable data without requiring interpretation of raw analog values.
