The Pearce PGSP13 grip extension replaces the factory magazine base plate on Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus and Equalizer pistols, giving shooters with larger hands a full-length grip without adding a longer magazine. It fits 13 and 15 round 9mm Shield Plus magazines, 16 round 30 Super Carry magazines, and S&W Equalizer magazines. This part is for shooters who run a Shield Plus for concealed carry but want a positive resting spot for the pinky finger. It does not change magazine capacity, so a 13 round magazine still holds 13 rounds after installation.
Pearce molds the PGSP13 from high impact polymer with a textured surface that matches the pattern on the Shield Plus frame, so the extension reads as part of the gun rather than a bolt-on. Per Pearce specifications, it adds approximately 1/2 inch of additional gripping surface and includes a positive stop that gives the last finger a defined place to seat under recoil. Installation follows the same procedure as any base plate swap: depress the floor plate retainer, slide the factory plate off, and seat the Pearce extension in its place. It carries no spring or follower changes, so the original magazine internals stay intact. The part is made in the USA. Depress the floor plate retainer on the bottom of the magazine, slide the factory base plate off, then seat the Pearce extension in its place until the retainer locks. It uses the original spring and follower, so no other parts change during the swap.
