This Evolution Gun Works scope base replaces the factory rear sight setup on the Henry Single Shot H015 with a full-length Mil-std 1913 Picatinny rail, giving shooters a standardized platform for modern optics. It's built for owners who want to mount a scope or red dot on the H015 and aren't served well by the original 3/8 inch dovetail. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in matte black anodizing, the rail measures 5.094 inches long and adds 0.4 inches from the top of the receiver to the top of the rail. It ships ready to install with the hardware needed for the job.
The base is a one-piece design with Picatinny cross slots running the full length, so you can position rings fore and aft to get correct eye relief no matter the optic. Mounting is ambidextrous, and hole spacing runs 1.3 inches between the first two holes and 1.0 inches between the second and third. Evolution Gun Works includes #6-48 X 1/4 wide-head screws and a T-10 bit in the package, with a recommended torque of 20 in/lbs at the screws. The rail is cut flat at 0 MOA, which suits the short-to-mid range work the H015 is typically chambered for. Note that the factory rear sight, pressed into the standard 3/8 inch dovetail, has to come off for the base to clear.
If you're scoping an H015 in a deer or hog caliber, this rail gives you the ring spacing and mounting flexibility that the original dovetail can't. This rail is cut flat at 0 MOA. That suits the short-to-mid range distances the H015 is commonly used at. If you need built-in elevation for longer shots, look at angled bases in other applications.
