The EARLS LS Steam Vent Adapter 2pk provides GM LS engine builders with a direct replacement for factory brazed vent tube manifolds. Sold as a pair, these aluminum adapters convert the stock cylinder head steam ports to -4 AN plumbing, allowing integration with aftermarket cooling systems and custom routing. The adapters feature an adjustable outlet design that accommodates various hose routing configurations without requiring multiple part numbers. For LS swap projects or performance builds requiring precise coolant system management, these fittings eliminate the need for awkward factory tube routing while maintaining proper steam venting function.
Each adapter is machined from aluminum with a black anodized finish for corrosion resistance and a clean appearance in the engine bay. The male swivel elbow design connects directly to the LS cylinder head using an O-ring seal, creating a leak-free connection without thread sealant. These adapters are compatible with both -3 and -4 AN plumbing systems, offering flexibility when connecting to existing braided hose assemblies or hard lines. Hardware is included for installation. The low-profile design sits closer to the cylinder head than many competing options, reducing clearance issues with intake manifolds, valve covers, and firewall proximity in tight engine compartments.
LS engine swaps into older chassis often require custom steam line routing when the factory tube system does not fit the new application. These adapters allow builders to run flexible AN hose between the front and rear cylinder head ports, connecting to the radiator or overflow tank as needed. For engines running level drivelines, additional steam port fittings at the rear heads may be necessary, with all connections routed through -4 AN fittings and hose. These adapters are designed for -4 AN connections but can also accommodate -3 AN plumbing. The adjustable outlet allows you to orient the fitting for optimal hose routing regardless of which AN size you select for your cooling system.
No thread sealant is required. The adapters use an O-ring seal at the cylinder head connection point, which creates a leak-free seal when properly torqued. Hardware for installation is included with the two-pack.
Most LS engines have two steam ports on each cylinder head. This two-pack covers both front ports. If your engine is level-mounted and requires rear port connections, you may need additional adapters and fittings to complete the system.
